FAQ'S

Why is there a black residue forming around the rim of my candle jar?
A candle wick requires trimming between burns or if the candle has been burning continuously for two or more hours. The wicks should be trimmed to about 7mm from the wax, only then will the candle stop emitting carbon - the black residue. If there is black residue on the glass of your candle jar, use a dry piece of paper towel and wipe clean.

Why do I need to burn my candle for more than 2 hours and less than 4?
If you burn for less than one hour the wax may not be melted all the way to the outside of the candle. Once this happens the candle can form a pattern of tunnelling which leaves unmelted wax around the edges, may reduce the overall fragrance throw and eventually may drown the wicks so the candle will not stay alight. If you burn for longer than four hours, the candle wick can become quite long and may fall onto the side of the glass, or heat the glass up.

Do I need to trim my candle wicks?
Yes. As the wax level drops, the wicks effectively become longer so we advise that you trim the wicks to 7mm and ensure they're upright prior to each new burn.

How long will a Burleigh Candle Co.®. Diffuser last?
A 200ml Burleigh Candle Co.® Diffuser will last, once opened, up to six months. Environmental factors, such as direct sunlight and breezes, and also the frequency you flip your reeds, may impact the life of your Fragrance Diffuser. For best performance we encourage you to refer to the enclosed care instructions.

How long will a Burleigh Candle Co.® candle burn for?
In ideal conditions, (285g wax) candles burn for up to 60 hours, 
Please note that we aim to ensure all of our candles are as long lasting as possible however burn times do vary based on a variety of factors. These include candle maintenance (whether wicks are being properly trimmed and are centred), the length of each continuous burn time (a longer burn that results in a deeper melted wax pool has the tendency to evaporate faster), candle placement (air-conditioned and drafty areas may effect burn times) and the age of the candle. To get the most out of your candles we always advise that you follow the enclosed burning instructions.

How much does shipping cost?
Standard Shipping: $12.95 or free for orders over $99. 

Direct Freight: $12.95 flat rate. Orders containing a Liquid Fragrance Diffuser's are not eligible for Free or Express Shipping and will be shipped via Direct Freight.

Express Shipping: $15.95 flat rate. Diffuser Frangrance's are not eligible for Express Shipping. 

How long does Standard Shipping take?
Burleigh Candle Co.®  aims to dispatch orders within two business days. Delivery timeframes below are calculated from the dispatch date.


Please note: During peak promotional periods this may take up to 5 business days. 

Estimated delivery timeframes for Standard Shipping per state:
NSW & ACT: 2-5 business days.QLD & VIC: 3-5 business days.
SA: 4-6 business days.
TAS: 5-6 business days.
NT: 7-10 business days.
WA: 7-11 business days.
Please note: Orders containing Liquid Fragrance Diffusers, may experience an additional day for delivery due to Direct Freight timings. Orders via Direct Freight do not require a signature on arrival. Please ensure your address is accurate. 
Burleigh Candle Co.® will allow for 1 x redelivery attempt. If this is not successful, you will be contacted for either a new address or a refund minus the delivery fee.

How long does Express Shipping take?
Per Standard Shipping, Burleigh aims to dispatch orders within two business days. Delivery timeframes below are calculated from the dispatch date.

Please note: During peak promotional periods this may take up to 5 business days.

Estimated delivery timeframes for Express Shipping per state:
NSW & ACT: 1-2 business days.
QLD, SA, VIC & TAS: 2-3 business days.
NT: 3-4 business days.

How do I track my delivery?
You will receive an email with tracking details once your item has been shipped.

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within Australia from our Australian website. We do also offer international shipping. For my information on international shipping rates email us at info@burleighcandleco.com.

I've received my order but there is an issue, what do I do?

What is your return/exchange policy?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of dispatch for unopened, unused, and resalable products. Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense.

Can I return my package to a physical store?
Orders must be returned via post to our online warehouse. We cannot accept at any of our retail locations.

Can I change my delivery address after I've ordered?
Contact us via email info@burleighcandleco.com promptly if you need to change your delivery address. We are happy to accommodate this for orders that have not been dispatched yet.
